Richard Hughes – Finance Director 

Richard was a qualified management accountant in the public sector prior to joining Freestyle, so he understands the concerns of larger organisations sensitive to change. Involved in everything from five year forecasts to window cleaning, Richard helps Freestyle have a clear focus on how business is conducted internally.  Of course, this has a positive knock on effect for clients because the better we do business, the better they can do business.

Richard used to spend a lot of time on the football field outside of work. He played centre midfield at district and county levels in his teens. In more recent times, he kept himself fit in the first division of the Midland Combination.

Things really heated up when the five-a-side team he played with got serious and they ended up playing in a number of national tournaments. He’s still active but these days he’s migrating more towards the golf course.

Freestyle’s Head of Technology is practically a golf pro – and luckily, a willing teacher - which means Richard can tackle the challenge of learning to be a decent player while still getting things done.

Richard says:
