Are you a skilled .NET developer with a passion for crafting cutting-edge digital solutions? At Freestyle, you’d be working on a diverse range of websites, mobile apps, web applications, and integrations that delight our clients and deliver on their business needs. We're on the lookout for a versatile team player who loves collaborating with other developers, as well as UX specialists, designers, and project managers. As part of our growing development team, you'll have the chance to interact directly with clients, providing support and helping solve challenges that make a real impact on our business.

What the day to day might look like (your responsibilities!);

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to analyse project requirements and translate them into technical specifications and innovative solutions.

  • Code implementation; develop and maintain web and app applications using the .NET framework and related technologies, always adhering to best practices and coding standards.

  • Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure the quality, performance, and security of our products. 

  • Participate in code reviews, promoting a culture of continuous improvement through constructive feedback.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in .NET development, and confidently share new ideas and improvements with the team.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during development and post-launch support.

  • Collaborate with other team members to identify opportunities for process optimisation and automation.

  • Provide valuable insights to technical estimations and costings, working alongside the Tech Director, Lead Developer, and Project Management teams.

  • Be a technical point of contact for clients, guiding them through their journey with Freestyle to ensure an outstanding experience.

  • Offer technical advice, guidance, and support to less experienced and non-technical team members, nurturing their growth and success.

  • Assist with environment configuration and server maintenance when required.

  • Streamline the development process through effective source code management, enabling seamless collaboration and efficient troubleshooting.

  • Work with the wider team, including Project Management, Site Support, and QA, to troubleshoot, investigate, and fix bugs.

  • Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

  • Support Marketing wherever necessary through education and content support.

Qualities that will help you smash it;

  • Proven experience as a .NET Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful web and/or app projects.

  • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, and other relevant .NET technologies.

  • Solid understanding of web application development, including front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js.

  • Experience with mobile app development using Xamarin or other relevant frameworks is a plus.

  • Knowledge of databases and ORM technologies, such as SQL Server, Entity Framework, or similar.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira and Azure is a plus but not essential.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • A hunger to stay abreast of emerging tech and trends, and communicate to the wider team.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Adaptability and flexibility.

  • A positive approach and outlook where possible.
