We are utterly thrilled with our rather (*ahem*) comprehensive win at the MINetworks awards in Manchester on Thursday night.
Freestyle came away with Gold Award for every entry we made, winning more than any other individual agency. And, to top it all off, we won the Grand Prix award for the ‘Best of the Best’ across the whole awards!
Our Gold Award haul came from the following categories;
- Best Digital Agency of the Year
- Best Mobile Campaign for Arriva Buses
- Best Midlands Marketing Business
- Grand Prix - overall winner.
We were lucky to have a team of 10 feisty Freestylers in attendance to celebrate in our own inimitable style (the aftershow Karaoke bar festivities are not included, obviously).
Owners Suzanne Linton and Alan Cooper were both there with the whole of the Freestyle team table to collect the awards - and to help with the celebrations!
Speaking at the awards, Alan said: “It’s a fantastic feeling; not only having won awards for specific work, but also to be recognised as a business. Topping it off with the Grand Prix is more than the icing on the cake - it’s something that the agency as a whole can be immensely proud of. Those that know us tell us we’re a cracking agency, so we want to use this as a platform to bring the best in the Midlands to the forefront of our industry.”
Speaking after the event, Richard Draycott, Managing Director of the Marketing Industry Network, told us: “I was delighted that Freestyle Interactive collected the Grand Prix awards at MiAwards 2011. The judges were very impressed by how Freestyle has managed to increase its revenue, grow its staff numbers and treble its margins during what we are continually told are very tough economic times.. The judges also liked that whilst Freestyle is a very successful business, it hasn’t forgotten who makes that business so successful – its staff. A strong feeling of unity, fun and a genuine enjoyment of what they do came through in Freestyle’s report, which was refreshing to see.”
