Freestyle teams-up with DAM Foundation Freestyle Interactive has joined the DAM Foundation – a newly formed not-for-profit body aimed at furthering understanding of Digital Asset Management as an important business discipline. Joining DAM Foundation as a Charter member is a natural step for Freestyle according to Phil Morton, head of operations and one of the lead strategists behind Freestyle’s successful DAM service offering – Partners.
Phil says: “Freestyle welcomes the initiative taken by DAM Foundation. It’s come at the perfect time for us and the Digital Asset Management sector. The drivers behind DAM Foundation are a determination to shape and implement Best Practice standards in an industry which is experiencing a growth surge.” Guy Brown, product director for “Partners” - Freestyle’s DAM platform added: “DAM Foundation’s objectives are to generate ever higher levels of professionalism across the sector as well as understanding about Digital Asset Management. A programme of ‘educational’ activities such as events and workshops for audiences coming from the wider business and marketing communication communities are planned. It’s this practical approach that struck a strong chord with us at Freestyle and we are delighted to be able to join DAM Foundation and support their work. ” The Board of DAM Foundation represents a Who’s Who of the influential thought leaders in Digital Asset Management and includes David Lipsey . David said: “We believe DAM Foundation is a much needed trade body which we hope will become the home community of all things to do with Digital Asset Management. Ultimately our strength will be the high quality of its membership which is why it is great to have DAM experts like Freestyle join-up. It’s important to have members who are prepared to put their energy and enthusiasm into trade bodies during the early stages.”
