A great example of a Social Media Policy video

Written by: Freestyle Interactive

Here’s a really great idea for a Social Media policy from Australia’s Department of Justice in Victoria. As Social increasingly blurs our work and personal lives together, it’s never been more important that employees understand the importance of Social Media, as well as how they should behave. Equally, it can be incredibly difficult to get employees to actually read the policy, especially in businesses where they are inundated with policy and procedure paperwork. As we saw from yesterdays Topman social media crisis, it doesn’t take very long for others to recognise a mistake and very quickly conjure up a mob of angry users.

This video is a great way of communicating a policy in an engaging and social way, and as Stuart Bruce stated,

“It’s one of those killer ‘wish I’d thought of that’ moment”.
